Pens are seen and written all the time by us humans. A pen is one of the most important thing we humans have ever created. A pen is something that human beings use to write and express them. Having a pen cause us to develop stories and theories so we can share them to all fellow humans of the world, having a pen in the hands of authors allowed them put their thoughts on paper and ended up creating classical books. Having a pen allow us to write the constitutional rights and laws of the land, having a pen is something that was important to the very life of a human being.

Pens of the past

In the pass pens were less creative in their designs and were much harder to use, but as time comes we human beings started to make the pen more efficient and more easy to use. Here is a list of the different types of pens that were used in the past.

1. Dip pen

2. Ink brush

3. Quill

4. Reed pen

Ink brush- The ink brush was created and used in Asian countries. It was used to write and also to create beautiful writings called calligraphy. This pen was built in a very easy and simple to make, almost any one could have created an ink brush to write. The handle of the brush was mainly made out of bamboo and the tip of the ink brush was hair or feather of an animal. The feather of a chicken was commonly used to create the ink brush. Those who were rich were able to afford to make their brush with expensive materials such as glass or gold.

Dip pen- was also known by the name nib pen. This pen had base or a handle that was made of wood or metal. This pen got its name mainly for what you had to do in order for you to write. You had to constantly dip the pen in ink to write. As the result of this your hand would be all messed up with ink. It was a really dirt job on writing. The dip pen has a similar concept with the fountain pen of today; the only difference is that the fountain pen has a refill of ink built in its base.
